Hollywood has witnessed the kickoff of the pre-events for the 98th Academy Awards, held at the Dolby Theatre, as final preparations are underway for the grand ceremony scheduled for Sunday, March 15, 2026. The festivities include a series of parties and occasions that bring together nominees, winners, and guests in a celebratory atmosphere.
Chef Wolfgang Puck and his team returned for the thirty-second time to present a distinguished menu at the "Governor's Ball," where attendees enjoyed a variety of dishes including the Golden Oscar Chocolate Station offering chocolate fingers in different flavors, as well as vanilla ice cream adorned with real gold leaf. The main courses featured wrapped salmon and special presentations of premium meats.
As part of the charitable events, the 34th Annual Oscar Viewing Party sponsored by Elton John took place, attended by stars such as Patricia Arquette, Sophia Bush, and Tiffany Haddish, with live performances including one by Loleatta Holloway.
Other events included champagne tastings, a special luncheon for female nominees organized by Diane von Furstenberg, youth parties, awards for Black women in Hollywood, and parties hosted by major production companies such as Warner Bros. and Netflix, in addition to talent agency events by WME and CAA.
