Full details

Sarah Delaby, the screenwriter of the thriller film Single White Female, which is a remake of the 1992 film of the same name, has passed away. Delaby was known for her work on the screenplay for Bodies Bodies Bodies and was commissioned to write the script for the new version starring Gina Rodriguez and Taylor Russell.

The original Single White Female film was based on John Lutz's novel SWF Seeks Same and achieved significant box office success worldwide, grossing over $84 million at the time, equivalent to approximately $195 million today.

Rodriguez and Russell announced their involvement in the project last year and are also participating as producers alongside Stacey Sher and Marisa Paiva. This project is considered one of Delaby's most prominent works, leaving a lasting mark in the field of dramatic and thriller screenwriting.

It is worth noting that Rodriguez is currently working on the third season of the Netflix series Wednesday, while Russell is preparing to appear in the film Hope, directed by Na Hong-jin.
